People have to go back to Bali. While not wishing to diminish the loss suffered by so many the fact is that the sooner everyone can be pragmatic like the Japanese and get back to business as usual the better off the Balinese and we will all be.
If the Bali economy sinks this will affect Indonesia as a whole and give the bad guys the bigger breeding ground they need to increase their numbers. Terrorists in the main are recruited from dissaffected poor people.
In short they are people who see that violence is their only option. If Muslim countries can be assisted to increase their standard of living then that is the best hope we all have to end terror.
Having been to the USA and Bali and knowing the violence that is an everyday part of life in the USA it truly staggers me that our goverment can claim that going to Bali is more dangerous than America. The violence in America is also primarily from dissaffected poor people.
Yet we were all encouraged to go to New York but told to stay away from Bali. I think the Japs have got it right.
