This principle works wherever you are, not only in Bali. "Do unto others" etc works everywhere.
However, in my opinion, it takes a long time to get through that first veil of protection with which Balinese shroud themselves.
It is good to hear that you and certain others have parted that veil and are living happily in Paradise.
Good luck to you in your happy quest, living life in an enviable situation, working at your Art and putting a bit back in.
How about coming downhill, around Christmas, to say hello to a few of us, bringing some family of course. We can either eat local or, if you like certain food let us know. Both my wife and I would deem it a pleasure to meet you all.
