The temperatures are comfortable, but the humidity is high and you'll likely sweat a lot. It usually only rains in the afternons, a tropical-thunderstorm-at-sunset sort of thing, brief periods of very heavy rain.
As long as you don't mind being sweaty, it's great. It's quiet (low season,) the thunderstorms are fun, you'll have lots of places all to yourself, and the residents are very friendly year-round :-) I'd go again in a minute.
