I was in Bali last September (and will be there again in 3 weeks). I was with my company so I can't comment on the price, but we were with people that really know what they are doing in Bali and had a magnificent meal, fantastic setting the guys walking around playing instruments were unreal. I'll ask the "regulars" from Perth for some suggestions on Monday and post another reply. I wouldn't miss it for anything.
Being "ripped off" on the price of a meal in Bali means you pay something equivalent to a very average restaurant in Australia, so who really cares?
