Hi Made, how are you doing?
We had such a fine time going thru places and going "oh remember...?"
The trip was really short... (holidays are always short!) A mini account...
Day 1 - Thursday 23 May
Arrived in Bali on SQ150 at 22:00. Must be the odd hour or because it was a weekday... immigration and customs was a breeze... bag got accosted but an overzealous porter despite protests... quick taxi ride to Sheraton Laguna at Nusa Dua... gawked at the monuments along the way... read all signboards and shopsigns... admired the entrance area of the Nusa Dua... gulped welcome drink... smiled at the orchid garnish in drink... checked-in... shown to room number 444... terribly bad luck number x 4... so put up a fuss *grins*... yippee! got a nicer room on the second floor looking into the lagoons... went for drinks at the hotel bar... quiet night... business seemed poor... valiant effort by the resident band as we were the only patrons...
Day 2 - Friday 24 May
snoozed till around 9... trotted down for breakfast at the hotel's beachside cafe... Nusa Dua isnt too bad... afterall it is a resort... walked up and down the beach... gosh! such low low tide... we waded in... and walked... and walked... ooooh! mid-calf... and waded... and waded... ah-ha! knee height... and that's about it! everyone had this peculiar look on their face like um... that's it?... so we all just sat waist deep in the water like babies in the babypool... must be rather frustrating for those attempting suicide
after a session of sitting by the drying beach and having a dip in the hotel pool, we went up for a wash and got ready for Kuta...
Kuta. felt that our little excursion was rather strange... firstly the hawkers were few and they left us alone, less wares are being sold, few tourists... had a yummy dinner at a prosperous looking made's warung where the food still tastes real good... had drinks in a few places... surprising unrowdy... but again we probably didnt hit the bigger establishments... had an early night as we will be having an early day tom
