Two children are taken into the outback by their father who then goes off without them and kills himself. They learn to survive in the wilderness with the help of a young indigenous fellow. Eventually, they find their way back to "civilization" but one sees the sterility of the bourgeois life to which they are returning after the intensity of those glorious, if terrifying, days in the wilderness. One of my all time top ten films. Remember?
