Go out to the beach at the Grand Bali Beach ( GBB ) turn left along the beach and walk about 3 mins and you will be near the Natour Hotel Sanur beach where the local restaurants and bars start along the beach walkway. There are plenty of eating places along the board walk here, just avoid the beachside restaurants which belong to hotels.
Take your cash with you or split it into Your credit card and Cash. Don't exchange at the GBB as it will cost you more in a poor exchange rate.
You will see many tour places advertising in the GBB but better rates are in Sanur Main St. ( JL Danau Tamblingen ) If you want to do a major tour such as another island ( Say lembongan ) then book online before you go. You will still get better rates on the street stalls than GBB but shop around and don't accept the first price you see.
