On my last trip in June and July, 2001 the price of a large Bintang was 10,000 Rupiah in the Matahari Supermarkets of Kuta and also 10,000 Rupiah at most budget cafes/warungs just off Poppies Gang 2. Also 10,000 Rupiah at other places during their "happy hour". You paid more at the more up-market cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars. Not sure what inflation has done to the prices since July, 2001.
