Finding a hotel on arrival

I'm considering returning to Bali this August but as I'm now a student would like to make my trip as cheap as possible. What are the chances of me being able to obtain hotel accomodation on arrival rather than book ahead? Last time I stayed in Nusa Dua but I' not really bothered on location. Cheers!
