Sanur Beach Hotel also offers an early morning Market ride each day from about 6am. We stayed there in April and decided to take the the bike-trip. Although we were the only two - plus our Hotel Guide - doing the ride, it turned out to be a highlight of our Bali trip! We were gone longer than planned - didn't get back to the Hotel until just before 10am!, rode further than planned, met many more people than planned and the guide talked a lot more than he planned! It was a fantastic morning's entertainment! So relaxing just pedalling along at a very leisurely pace, and, we saw stuff that you simply could not hope to see from a car window. A respectful walk around a cemetery, a visit to a brick-making business, a coral crushing business and a Batik factory. Visited a school closeby to the Hotel, spent half and hour or so in a local produce market (not a tourist type market) - that was an eye opener! , Can't say that we experienced any major issues with trucks and traffic etc. Most places we went were not on main roads. In fact the only time we came into contact with major traffic was when we actually walked our bikes across the highway that goes past Sanur. I think there may also be a bike hire place similar to Sobek in Sanur itself. Enjoy your holiday
