G'day and Happy New Year to all Forumites
Just a quick note to remind people of the Fundraiser for Palasari Orphanage and GCCC on 12th Jan. We have had a few people send cheques from the East for Raffle tickets and we are still looking for more people to come along on the day and join us for a feed. The menu has now increased with the donation of a suckling pig for the spit to go with the seafood and other dishes of various nationalities.
We would also urge you to wear your Best Bali Beach gear as we are having 20 tonne of beach sand delivered and will do our best to recreate your favourite Bali Beach. Can you imagine squeezing the sand between your toes while sitting on a plastic chair under a beach umbrella (sounds vaguely familiar doesn't it)? As you are doing this you are smelling the satay on the BBQ, the faint waft of a clove ciggarette and drinking an Ice Cold Stubby handed to you from a little red esky.???? Now I'm just gettin' carried away. BUT WE'LL TRY.
The most important thing here is to raise a quid for these wonderful places and help them to help others.
