"...the sender's email address will have the "_" character prepended to it, to prevent replying to infected mails to warn the sender (eg user@website.com becomes _user@website.com)." (Symantec)
Try replying to it without the "_" at the front and see if it works?
I've received this virus quite a few times already (interestingly, only to my hotmail address, which I use on travel Forums) - a couple were sent from the dummy email addresses that the virus uses EG: 'Linda' (lgonzal@hotmail.com). (There is a full list of these in my other post from the Symantec website)
But 2 I received came from 'Janette Edmonds' and 'Miriam' - so if either of those people reads this forum, I suggest you do a system scan and fix ASAP, because it seems you're infected...
Everyone just be careful, don't open any mail where the sender's address has "_" at the front, and where attachment has 2 extensions (eg .doc.pif or .mp3.scr), and especially don't open attachments where the 2nd extension is .pif or .scr...
cheers
