My brother is a world traveler, and has recently been trying to convince my fiancé and I to take our honeymoon in Bali. I think it sounds like a great idea, and likely much cheaper than our previous ideas (an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica, ie. Sandals). It also seems as though it will be a much more authentic trip. Neither of us has ever seen an ocean, or been outside of the country (we're from the Midwest in United States).
So I am posting to ask if anyone has ever honeymooned in Bali before. I'd like to get an idea of what sort of areas would be best for this sort of trip. Also, about how much money it will end up costing (considering airfare, hotel accommodations, food, rental car, etc.) each day. We'll probably stay 5 or 6 days. We're getting married on September 28, 2002, so our visit would probably start on Sept. 29 or thereabouts.
Also, what is the weather like during that time of year?
Any information would be very helpful.
This is our first big trip ever (for both of us), so we're excited, but want to make sure that we do it right.
