Nice place and location. I always enjoy the area around Jl Melasti. If you are going out for breakfast (the LBH is quite Xpensive) then you are close to Bali Too, Bali Aussie and my preference Legian Gardens (Taman Legian) just up Melasti. There are others including Uncle Norms and Hueys which are ok.
If you want a good driver a good friend of mine has a bemo based just outside the main entry. His name is Wayan Salju, tel: (0361)488584.
There's heaps of drivers though and nearly all are good.
