an attitude!!!!!!!!!!most owners don't go to their home resort year after year...that is the beauty of timeshare, you can go to many countries, save weeks, and have a longer vacation....and stay in places you'd most likely never spend the money for....I agree that staying in a timeshare in Bali isn't worth the money, unless it is in Nusa Dua and that is your thing...but for the most part..Bali is inexpensive.....use it in places that are expensive..like Hawaii, San Francisco, the Carribean, Europe...on and on, it saves lots of money, and you stay in great places...the only other drawback is that you own a week, and therefore you get a week, unless you bank and then you get two...but you can only save for two years, and borrow one year ahead...so for those travelers that spend 4-5 weeks a year on holiday...it doesn't work, unless you like to be spontaneous and use the get aways and vacation excapes....timeshare is sold either as floating time, or points at most resorts today, very seldom do you purchase a fixed week, and if you do, it has no bearing on when you travel.....so before you cop an attitude about timeshare, you really should know the facts......................further more....Timeshare is not an investment....IT IS A LIFESTYLE!!!!!! It makes you go...and some people need that little kick...and it does pass on to your heirs...for example...the Hilton Hawaiian Village would most likey cost you about $400 USD per. night for a hotel room... $2,800 for one week...(you do the math) well with timeshare, you get a villa at the same property for nothing more than an exchange fee and a maintenance fee (the maintenance fee is at your home resort, and they vary)...think about it 14 nights at $400 is about $5,600 USD....there are laws in place today to protect the consumer...perhaps not in third world countries....but there certainly are in the USA....and I would imagine also, in Austrailia, New Zealand, and most European Countries.....no..I don't sell timeshare, but I have..and I own, and I have been many, many places I would have never gone if it hadn't have been for the trading benefit timeshare offers.....
