My first trip to Bali was in December, 1975. Those were the good old days with "psudo-Western food", real friendly people, no traffic congestion, lots of rice paddies visible everywhere, gamelan music heard everywhere, original crafts (no mass production), etc. It's sad to think about the way it used to be.
