I totally agree with almost everything that you have said. But the
editorial that we have posted did not suggest to close your eyes
and go to Bali no matter what the state department says.
We just wanted to outline that there seems to be a difference in
how travel warnings are issued. For some reasons travel warnings
to the Philipines are limited to single islands only, whereas the
travel warning for Indonesia covers the whole country.
Look at the posting "IS IT SCARY IN BALI..." a little bit above this
subject. As a travel agent we receive such questions day by day.
They are a direct consequence to such travel warnings.
The text that we have posted is in a way provocative. We are very
aware that our editorial may cause controversial discussions. But
these discussions are never meaningless!
