We have been taking tourists and friends to ride the elephants at Taro since they first opened there a few years back. Not only have the prices tripled in that time but the rides have become shortened by 20 mins!! The complaints from tourists we had in April meant that we will not be recommending this trip in the future. The cost per person was AUD$93, the ride now 30 mins, plus the cost for the day's driving at 150,000rp for our minibus. If tourists ask us to go there of course we oblige, but the cost is now putting many people OFF!!
