Most items of clothing, medication etc are useful. I checked with Gloria today if there was anything that was NOT useful and she has provided the following list:
Baby Grow Suits - plenty have been provided but the Balinese do not seem to like them.
Socks - they are not used here (even with shoes!) although baby socks are fine.
Tampons - please no more - Balinese do not use them are are absolutely horrified when you explain what they are for!!!!
Adult heavy footwear - not very popular
Table cloths - yes you see a lot here but they are for tourists to buy - locals don't use them.
Gloves - surgical gloves we can use - other hand warming types are not used at all.
In reply to Curious regarding med's (I assume you mean medications as Meds is a brand name tampon in Australia!!!) - I will double check with Gloria but we do not usually get such things by mail - most people that have brought medications have simply packed them in a separate container/bag and labelled them for Crisis Care and have had no hassle with Customs here - that of course may not assist you if you are going through another country's customs on the way. May be before you are coming we can get some feed back from other forumites who have brought in larger amounts of medicines/drugs.
Any further questions - don't hesitate to post them on the forum or if you prefer email us direct and we will do our best to help you help us.
