The 747-400s are normally used for the intercontinental flights.
With some flights you have to switch planes either in Singapore or Jakarta, the connection flight mostly will be an airbusxxx or DC10.
Normally you can choose between two menus for dinner, one of them commonly is chicken (which I prefer).
Don't worry about the freh air, only the last three of four rows in the Boeing are reserved seats for the smokers.
