I am a single traveling male from San Francisco and I will be in Bali from April 30th thru May 6. Like you, it will be my first time in Bali and so I'm not sure what to expect. Thanks to this forum and the usual 'Lonely Planet', etc. I've got a general idea. If anything, escaping the fog will be enough for me.
