They're everywhere. Outside every hotel there are hordes of drivers. Talk to them, you'll soon find one whose English is good, and with whom you think you'll be comfortable. Hire him for a day shopping etc in Denpasar, or a half day - go to the Denpasar Museum or some such, as a trial. If you like him, feel comfortable with his 'style'; use him as your 'Major Domo' for tours anywhere. Nearly all the drivers are, in fact, quite acceptable. Some are bloody good!!!!! Bargained price should be about Rp 200,000 per day; to which you add your 'extras' for service. Lunch, Tip etc. If you chose well, you'll probably end up at his village; meet his family etc. The Organised tours lock you up in a bus with a mob of ...........
You know what I mean I guess!!!!!!!!
