Yet again the quest for the dollar bites into the land - Far to many of us that have been to Bali time and time again are saddened over the latest addition to the landscape. Between the last time i had been to Bali and November just gone - a period of only three years, three hotels had been built or were being built on the Agung river where we went white water rafting amongst pristine jungle and rice fields .The last trip to Bali i did not even visit old favorits like Tan-a-lot and Uluwatu as they have also been changed for ever.
Is it our lust for comfort and excitement that is destroying this place ??? Perhaps we should all think when we next go at what cost to the locals are we enjoying ourselves - how can we help ???
