The beach outside the Santika is typical all the way down to the airport. Holiday Inn is no different. However, the santika is far closer to Kuta Square, etc, for shopping & choice of restaurants, but far enough away to avoid the hustle & bustle. You can walk to most things whereas you need to taxi to most from Holiday Inn.
It all comes down to personal choice.
