In response to several posts about Balinese men, may I add that my boyfriend is special because:
1) He isn't neurotic and afraid to make a commitment - yes we are committed and live with his mother and rest of family. We have been together several years.
2) He doesn't look at my body and wonder why I don't look like a model.
3) He is very hard working, works to supply his and his family's needs and doesn't buy things he doesn't need.
4) He is modest about his accomplishments and doesn't feel the need to show off.
5) He is devoted to his family, culture and religion.
6) He is extremely polite to everyone and cares about their feelings, whether it is a seller in a market or a tourist - that is a part of their culture. He wouldn't dream of raising his voice to anyone.
I could go on and on, but you see there are reasons why women love Balinese. Much more than just a roll in the hay or a romantic dream.
I thank my lucky stars every day that I have his love.
I'm sure others could add much more of the qualities they see in their Balinese men.
