Hi, a few years ago now, 95-96, a few friends and I arrived in Bali on Christmas day and stayed through to mid Jan. We had a brilliant time. The balinese, although Hindu, were wishing us 'Happy Christmas and Merry New Year' the whole time and there was a very friendly, happy vibe.
Pretty much the same as any other time of year, the weather was luckily good. V hot and humid but no rain until we left, then it flooded.
I don't think you can go too wrong in Bali and it makes for a different and memorable Christmas. Have fun
