Hi - I think you got the wrong place. You must be referring to set-up in Turtle Island (forgot it's name), we didn't go there. We went to the Reptile Park in Taman Sarung between Gianyar and Ubud. This joint is run by true professionals, no big marine turtles there (that would be impossible in that place!). All the animals were in good condition and remarkably relaxed. A whole family of iguanas were sunning themselves within inches from my kids and they hardly noticed that they were being watched! Most of the frogs and snakes were kept in a subterranean display area which was climatically-controlled and very clean! We're animal-lovers ourselves and needless to say, we were very impressed by the quality of care and maintenance at Reptile Park. I know what you mean about the way marine turtles are handled elsewhere and I fully agree with you I would never take my kids to such a place. The Reptile Park, most definitely we will go there again, any other place, hmmm, I'll think it through seriously.
