Thank you for your email concerning travel and visa requirements for Bali.

You would have seen media articles concerning the possibility that the
Indonesia Government may introduce a visa charge for Australians travelling
to Bali. This has not been implemented and is still only speculation. The
requirements as of today are as per normal, once you arrive in Indonesia
you will be issued a visa at the airport Immigration counter for 60 days.
You should travel on an Australian Passport that has 6 months or long
validity. You should also check the current requirements with the
Indonesian Embassy in Canberra on Tel 02 62508600.

This was received 31 October from the Australian Vice Consul in Bali replying to my e-mail yesterday.
