Most of the dogs especially the bigger ones belong to the foreign population in bali. These have a job protecting their bosses big villa's. The big ones become the leader of a pack in the afternoon hitting the beaches, and scamming the rice fields at night.
Sometimes walking home late through the paddies you could encounter these bandits. Just pretent you pickup a stone and they will spread.
The 'best' dogs come from the Kintamani region where the dogs are a bit stronger and have thicker hair because of the 'cold' in the mountains. I even know a Dutch guy that breads dobbermans where top dollar is payed for as a guard dog. You will never see them on the streets cause the balinese are scared S%^&less and will try to poison them.
Complete black dogs are considered holly, and good eating. The spirit
might stay with you.
And yes you donot want to be a balidog!
