This is going against the other two so its your choice take sterling because the £ is stronger than the $,but don't take cash take travellers checks, i know the rate is not so good but if the worst happens at least you can still get your money. If there is a bank near don't bother with money changers use the bank they won't rip you off and you know the money is real and you can get the notes that you want. If there are no banks around go in twos to money changers and both check once you are sure the money is correct don't let them recount it that is when some will diappear.
