I have stayed at the Swastika twice - first time 5 years ago, second time 3 months ago. I've stayed at a range of places in Bali and I think the Swastika is my favourite. It is a budget hotel, no TV or fridge (you can hire them)and fairly basic but enormous rooms. Choice of A/C or fancooled. 24 hour room service. But it is friendly, clean and comfortable (they spray the rooms at sunset to keep the mossies away). The best part is the layout of the place - nice gardens, large verandahs and 2 pools. Very relaxing. And really good massages next to the main pool for 35000Rp. It is down a driveway off the main road and there is a great little restaurant at the entrance (don't know the name). It is also very handy to everything being right in the centre of Sanur. I spoke to a few people who had been return guests. I guess by now you know I'd definitely recommend it. Please email me if you need more info.
