Hi, Michael. Unless the rupiah falls again, you probably won't find any bungalows for $US 4. But you can try Arena Beach Bungalows or Sari Indah Cottages off Poppies I or Pak Sulendra's Beach Bungalows on Poppies II. These should cost around $7 to $15/night. Be sure to ask to see the rooms first no matter where you go. If there aren't any rooms at any of the above places, ask at Made Wina's Warung on the bike gang to the right off Poppies II. They can tell you about lots of places in that general area.
April is usually pretty nice. Rainy season usually ends in March, so you may get some occasional showers but no monsoons. Some years , the winds come up strong in April but overall, it's a beautiful time to be in Bali. Have fun!
