From what I have read in the forum,it is not a good idea to change
your money in the hotels. The rate isn't that good. I think there is
a good money changer in the Matahari Shopping Centre in Kuta, called
PT Central. Don't change your money on the street, and make sure you
take along your own calculator to check the rate, then be the last one
to handle the money. I talked to a lady who just got back and she
said she had no problem changing Canadian money, though just for good
measure, I would take along a few crisp $100bills in US dollars. Hope
this helps. I don't know what kind of rate you get in banks, though
it seems if you use your ATM card, that works okay too.
